Does anybody have any walk through's or DIY's for Tundra parts upgrades you would like to share?

    Charcoal filter Delete....

    Open the air filter box...

Now inside the box, attached to the air filter box lid, between the air filter and the top of the lid is the charcoal filter...

Using a flat head screwdriver pry down on the edges and corner of the charcoal filter to "pop" the little plastic tabs.....

Now remove the charcoal filter and let the motor breathe.... even better still after removing the charcoal filter, go get a TRD or K&N filter and really let the motor breathe .

    Takes about 5 min.

What does the charcoal filter do exactly and how necessary is it?

When the vehicle is turned off residual fuel vapors coming back through the throttle body become trapped or absorbed in the charcoal filter. It's an EPA thing.
